Internal SMS Two‑Factor Authentication (2FA)
Purpose: This page documents our security‑only SMS program for employees using the company portal. It includes the required disclosures, UI mockups, and sample messages for carrier review. No marketing messages are sent on this program.
A) Onboarding Opt‑In (HR/IT Intake)
Place this block adjacent to the mobile number field on your actual onboarding page. Screenshot this entire card with the phone field, required checkbox, disclosure, and live links.
B) Login Screen (Next to “Send Code”)
Place this text near your Send code button on the sign‑in page. Take a screenshot with the button and this note visible together.
We’ll send a one‑time code by SMS for sign‑in. Security use only. Frequency varies. Message & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help. Alternatives: authenticator app.
C) Required Sample Messages
Use these exact samples in your Amazon SNS/A2P registration. They are security‑only and contain no links or marketing.
1) OTP / Verification Code
Direct Promos: Your verification code is 123456. Expires in 10 minutes. Do not share this code. If you didn’t request it, contact IT.
2) HELP Response
Direct Promos: For sign‑in help, reply here or email [email protected]. Msg&data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel.
3) STOP Confirmation
Direct Promos: You’re opted out of security texts. You may lose SMS sign‑in. Contact IT to re‑enable or choose another factor.
4) (Optional) Enrollment Confirmation
Direct Promos: SMS 2FA enabled for your account. You’ll receive codes for sign‑in and security events. Msg&data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help.
D) Opt‑In Workflow (paste this text into your registration)
Employees provide a mobile number during onboarding at https://portal.directpromos.com/onboarding and must check a required box labeled
“I agree to receive SMS for 2FA/security.” The page displays disclosures: purpose (security only), frequency varies, message & data rates may apply, STOP/HELP, and links to SMS Terms and Privacy Policy.
After saving, employees may choose an alternative factor (authenticator app). At sign‑in, the user clicks “Send code” to receive a one‑time passcode by SMS. We do not send marketing SMS on this program. STOP opts the number out immediately; users must contact IT to re‑enable or select another factor. HELP routes to [email protected].
E) Reviewer Notes
- Program is security‑only for employee authentication via Amazon SNS; no promotional content.
